The challenge
A brittle first version needed to become a purpose-built platform that could protect health information, support therapists in the browser, and let clients join a session from their own phone without an app or login.
Joseph's contribution
Solution blueprint
Designed the product architecture around React applications, a NestJS API, asynchronous workers, PostgreSQL, and the integrations needed for scheduling, calls, documents, and payments.
Compliance-minded infrastructure
Designed the AWS foundation in infrastructure as code, including verified database TLS, managed secrets, encryption controls, and audit and threat-detection services.
Repeatable delivery
Established separate environments, short-lived deployment credentials, automated migrations, infrastructure tests, and operating runbooks for the delivery team.

The engagement moved from solution planning to a production-ready platform foundation in three months, with repeatable environments, documented operations, and safeguards around sensitive data.
